How ClubFund works

Set up your club store in minutes. No fees until you get paid.

Getting Started

ClubFund lets your club accept payments for memberships, sponsorships, and fundraising — directly into your bank account via Stripe. There are no monthly fees; ClubFund takes a small 1.5% platform fee only when a payment is made.

Connect Stripe

Link your club's bank account so payments flow directly to you.

Create Product Types

Set up categories like "Memberships" or "Sponsorships".

Add Products

Add individual items — price, billing interval, and description.

Share your store link

Send your unique store URL to members and supporters.

Stripe Connect

ClubFund uses Stripe Express to process payments. When someone purchases from your store, the money goes directly to your connected bank account — ClubFund never holds your funds.

To connect, go to Stripe Connect in your dashboard, click Connect with Stripe, and follow the onboarding steps. You'll need your club's ABN and bank account details.

Your public store will show a "Store Unavailable" message to visitors until Stripe is fully connected. Complete setup before sharing your link.

Product Types

Product Types are categories that group your products together. They're the first thing visitors see when they open your store. For example:

Memberships — annual or monthly member fees
Sponsorships — business sponsor tiers
Fundraising — one-off donations or event tickets

A Product Type only appears in your store if it has at least one active product assigned to it.

Products

Products are the individual items available for purchase. Each product belongs to a Product Type and can be set up as a one-off payment or a recurring subscription.

One-off

A single payment. Great for donations, event tickets, and one-time sponsorship packages.

Monthly

Stripe automatically charges the buyer each month. Ideal for ongoing memberships.

Annual

Stripe charges once per year. Perfect for annual memberships and yearly sponsorships.

Once a product has been sold, the price and billing interval cannot be changed (Stripe restriction). To offer a new price, create a new product and deactivate the old one.

Your Public Store

Your public store is a mobile-optimised checkout that anyone can access — no login required. Share the link via email, your website, or social media and supporters can browse and pay in seconds.

Store home

Visitors see your active product categories and select one to browse.

Products

Lists all active products within the category — price, billing interval, and benefits.

Checkout

Buyer enters name, email, and phone, then pays securely via Stripe. Supports card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and more.

Payment confirmed. The buyer receives an email confirmation and your Orders dashboard updates instantly.

Orders

An Order is created when a buyer starts checkout. It tracks the relationship between a buyer and a product, including recurring subscription renewals.

Status	Meaning
Pending	Checkout started but payment not yet confirmed. May complete shortly or may be abandoned.
Active	Payment was successful. For recurring products, the subscription is currently renewing.
Past Due	A recurring payment failed. Stripe will retry automatically.
Failed	The payment could not be completed.
Cancelled	The subscription was cancelled by the buyer or after repeated failed payments.

Transactions

A Transaction is recorded every time a payment is successfully processed. For recurring subscriptions, a new transaction is created each billing period. Transactions are permanent records and cannot be deleted.

Column	Description
Charged	Total amount the buyer was charged, including any fee passed to them.
Platform Fee	ClubFund's 1.5% fee deducted from the charged amount.
Est. Stripe Fee	An estimate of Stripe's processing fee — varies by payment method and region.
You Receive	Estimated net amount deposited to your bank account after all fees.

Fees

ClubFund charges a 1.5% platform fee on every successful payment. No monthly fees, no setup costs, no lock-in contracts.

Stripe also charges their own processing fee (typically ~1.7% + 30¢ for Australian cards). This is separate from ClubFund's fee and is deducted by Stripe directly.
